Filo Cafe stands out not only for its warm, inviting atmosphere but also for its incredible menu offerings. Customers rave about dishes like the kamayan combo plate, where an array of flavors shines when served on a banana leaf. The lechon kawali, with its melt-in-your-mouth fat and crispy exterior, has garnered rave reviews. Its richness is perfectly complemented by the crispy and delightful lumpia, which seems to be a crowd favorite among first-time visitors.
Each dish is prepared with passion, as highlighted by Tiffany A. Yeh, a satisfied customer who praised the melty lechon fat and the satisfying crunch of the lumpia. The accompanying carioca dessert is a must-try, offering a perfect balance of crispy outside and chewy inside that leaves a lasting impression.
The commendations do not stop there. Angelique Reyes shares her enthusiasm about the clean environment and friendly staff, noting the “amazing” lumpiang sariwa. Likewise, the flavors of dishes such as pork lumpia, pancit bihon, and chicken adobo continue to delight appetites, as noted by Shah L—who ordered via Uber Eats and was pleased with the quick delivery and hot food.

Beyond the food, Filo Cafe creates an ambiance that feels like home. With thoughtful touches like the Korean drama "Queen of Tears" playing softly in the background, both atmosphere and hospitality seem to be part of the package, as shared by Ben Fan who experienced a warm welcome and even received a complimentary dessert! It adds a lovely touch that reinforces the notion that dining is not just about food, but also about connection.
In conclusion, Filo Cafe offers a rich tapestry of flavors, pleasing both the palate and the soul. “ First time coming here and loved this family establishment! We were recommended this place from a friend and got the kamayan combo plate and then the lechon kawali with rice. For me the stars are the lumpia (of course) and the lechon. Lechon fat just melts in your mouth, no chewing needed. The top is so crispy too. I love that the kamayan lets you try multiple things on a banana leaf. We also got some carioca for dessert which were delicious. Crispy outside, chewy on the inside. 10/10 They were also playing Queen of Tears in the background which is a 1 for atmosphere! Very clean and quiet area ”

“ Love their food! My partner love everything about this restaurant! This type of restaurant is the one I keep looking for, so that my partner would love more having filipino food in our plates! He had his first sip of ginger tea and he absolutely love it! The 45 minutes drive from Prince George’s county is so worth it! By the way we had the kamayan platter with shanghai, bihon, tapa, lechon kawali and garlic bread! Lechon kawali is to die for! Garlic rice is so tasty! Bihon was sumptous! Love love loveeeeeee their vinegar sauce! ”
“ Came in and they were playing the Korean drama Queen of Tears on the TV - green flag. We were warmly greeted by the cashier, and he offered us some helpful suggestions for what to order. We got the kamayan platter and the lechon kawali plate, and they gave us a free dessert on the house! Everything was delicious, and the atmosphere is very laid back and welcoming. Will likely be back soon! ”
“ We visited here for the first time recently. Pricey for Filipino food as these type of places tend to be. I loved the pancit it had the right amount of acidity I like. The tocino was a little tough and not as sweet as I’m used to. Lechon skin was crispy, the pork lumpia and giant turon that I got were delicious and tasted as it should. I’d definitely go back to try their other dishes. ”
“ An amazing little find in Montgomery County. I came here on a hot June day and got the halo halo, and man, it is AMAZING. The music and atmosphere feel cozy and perfect for a book, with friendly staff and affordable prices sealing the deal. Definitely check it out. ”
“ Great Filipino food. Get the Ube Mochi w/ Condensed Milk. Sisilog is also really good. ”
